i used metastock with my desktop. i transfer my data (only the price data, and i did not transfer my expert advisor formulae) to my new notebook.
i then set my smartchart as the default for all charts.
the problem i have now. there are a few candles that are of different color. i forgot what formulae is that. is there anyway i can view all the formulaes in that chart.
clicking expert advisor will not help, as it will show that there is no formulaes attached to my chart.
please look at the attached picture if you don't know what i am talking about.
thank you in advance

Why don't you just transfer all your indicators/expert advisors using the Import/Export function from the "Organiser...". Hopefully that will solve your problem.

Not sure what is the exact problem as I do not use color formula. But here s one way of doing it. Delete the MSSmart Folder. This will delete off all the default template for each chart. Then make a new default template and save as default. This is a reset method. One solution solves many problems EDIT: oh yeah, if you think it is expert advisor problem, you can try to attach an expert advisor and then detach it. See if it makes a difference.

importing from the desktop is not an option anymore.
i want my charts this way, that is the reason why i use the mssmart to make it the default.
it has nothing to do with expert advisor. any data imported from another place, will follow the original mssmart, but the formulae will not be shown in the new expert advisor.
my original question was, is there anyway i could see all the formulaes or conditions in a chart?
thank you again

MSSmart is automatically created actually. But I understand what you meant by creating default template. What I am suggesting is to "reset" it.
Then rebuild your default template.
How to check previous attached formula when it was not imported is beyond me. But looking at your chart, it would be simple to recreate the default template. Then you ll have all the settings, without the blue color.
If you want the color formula, you can create and attach an expert advisor using the Highlight Tab. I am afraid you ll need to find the specific formula that you want. If you remember the features of the formula, we may be able to offer you assistance on how to code it.

thank you for replying. not the kind of answer i was expecting but a good enough solution for me.
thanks for the generous offer to code the formulae for me. my main intention was actually to know why i attached the formulae and what is its use.

Dear Mr Lost, You can have one more try. Go to http://www.equis.com - then click on the Forum then discussion. Ask them if they know of any way. Maybe my Metastock skill was insufficient. If they say cannot, then its totally confirm. Its the developer site.

Try to read your post and look at the chart but can’t really understand what you mean. But any way if you want to get it the same as your desktop I think by this way you can get it, but make sure the version of Mstock must be the same. Copy the files from desktop to your notbook: let say : “ ms80EXPT.dta “ it might appear as “ms91EXPT.dta” important are this type of file. The best is you transfer all your data include MSSmart folders too
