Need help! how to transfer smart chart data from PC to laptop?

Hi everyone!

I have 2 enquiries which have been puzzling me. Hopefully someone can help me out

1) I am wondering how can i copy my smart chart data (e.g lines and texts drawn on, say genting smart chart) from my PC to my laptop metastock? I tried copying the data from c:\ms\sgx2 from PC to to my laptop but it doesnt work.

2) I also drawn some lines and text on genting smart chart yesterday. however, after copying today EOD into metastock, all the lines and text on genting chart disappear! however, data on other smart chart say like Indofood Agriculture still remains even tho i applied the new EOD. Why is this so?

some additonal info to point 2: i did place genting and indofood onto my favorites list as well. not sure its that the reason?

The smart charts are in the MSSmart folder where you placed your data. You need to copy the relevant MSSmart folder from your PC to laptop.

I suggest to save your lines, settings etc as a template, then transfer the template to your laptop
Then open the said chart in your laptop then apply the template which was transferred

Template can be transfer manually - ie from Windows Explorer
or can be transferred using MS Import/Export function.
