Hello All, since the previous topic of the same subject is 120days old, i rather create the same topic to continue the discussion on this subject...it will  benefit to some of the newbies like me. Of course for anyone to go into this line, they have to start somewhere and first and foremost they must learn the trade. You can learn from friends or attend some of the workshop conducted by the people who are involve in this line.

Talking abt the workshop, anyone here attended such workshop and can make some comments here?  First and foremost do the workshop helps you in your trading? Is the presenter expert in this field? There're so many of them conducting various kind of workshop such some on future trading, some on options and future and some on forex. Question is, is it worth to attend? What is the best in town on future trading workshop?

Thanks.

Well friend, look like you are keen in trading CI future and others type of futures, as for me I never attend any type of workshop, bcos in my view no matter what workshop we  attend if we are no good in charting analyze it will not help, may be it will make thing worse.
Malaysia CI future the volume is not big so is very easy to be manipulated by the big boys as we can c from yesterday, about 1hr before market close the CI keep moving south but fkli keep pushing to north they go against each other this show that many ppl are shorting the fkli so the big boys collected alot of  fkli so they push up to make money.
The above is my personal view only.

Just my personal opinion.  They key success trading for living does not depends on entry so much. First you need to prepare a lot of money/capital, a strategy plan(with discipline) , money management (cut lose) and emotionally prepared.  Attending workshop only give you idea how to execute the trading, what makes you make profits is the few criteria i mentioned above.  2funny

Many books say so.

I agree generally with the principles but not on the requirement of lots of capital/money.
If lots of money, then the plan should optimise the capital available.
But if not much money then plan should reflect the available capital.
Big got big style of play. Small got small style of play.
This is also why some when small capital make money but when big capital cannot make.

I agree on small capital have small style play.  For trading, yes you can utilise any amount of capital.  This topic is "trading futures only for living".  Living refers to just our basic needs, this mean we must able to make profit on 'x' amount of ringgit.  For instance Warren Buffet, his 30 years porfolio have a 21% average compound again. Let's say we're as good as him 21% gain.  100k will give you 21k a year return. This 21k divided into 12 months you get an average of rm1750 a month.  No re-investment of gain just take out 'makan'.  Can you survive?

Trading for living big or sufficient capital is a must.  Trading any size of capital is welcome.

Lets not care too much about percentages.
Buffett's style of play is different. His capital is huge.
To make large percentage gain on such style of play and the size of capital is impossible.
