metastock settings

hi am a new trader. if anybody can help me, was just wondering what is the best settings for metastock like:
1. time periods to load
2. time periods to display
to get the best results for klse specific. so that the indicators are more accurate.
for example, looking at the osk chart, they plotted the 200-day MAV line on the chart. but when i tried to plot the MAV for 200 period in metastock, i get different results... the line was not at the same place. this would mean that entry into the stock would differ as well...
please help

Hi, buggie,
Load is suggest to set at 5000 and display set to around 250 depend on your visual preference.
When plotting 200 day moving average, the different is due to different starting point of historical data loaded for this calculation. If OSK and your chart load with same start date, it will give same reading.

Anybody know how to set all metastock chart as candlestick type ?
1. Open a chart set it to candle stick, than on the chart right click, when u see a window point to "save as defult template"
than left click.
2. Open matastock Data folder, open subfolder, e.g. like "Mproduct" folder delate "MSSmart" folder , after u do this when u open a chart in "Mproduct" folder the chart will be in candlestick format.
