hello all,

just wondering how do i apply more than 1 formula in metastock 8.0 to do scanning ...

example, i wanna scan for stocks within klse which meet the following :

- Equis - MACD Buy Signal
- Equis - Price and Volume Breakout

so that it'll return results which meet the above criteria ...

thanx

Use the "AND" operator.

For example,
    macd() > 0 AND rsi(14) > 70

First, you will need to create a new exploration. Then code your criteria into the "Filter" column - not Coulmns A, B, C, D, E or F!

For example, if I want to find ALL stock whose CLOSE are from $0.500 to $2.500 then I would code it as "C>0.495 AND C<2.505" into the Filter column. You will need to select the "Use Filter" function in the Exploration Options window. Hope you get what I mean.

I would normally look for stocks in uptrend (weekly) and then wait for the daily oscillator to be in oversold zone. Of course volume must be substantial. Other than that no special formula. I am more of an intermediate-term player.
