What happened?? Got bitten kah? Well, I was too. At the start, when I was a novice player. hehehe now I think I got the hang of it. Good returnlah I must say. Last year a return of 85% on my small equity. hehehe but I blow it on CPO. So am back to square one.

Both these counters bite very hard man  cry because of stupitidy but I got over it. But have to change my mindset and some 'darkside' to really trade like a pro man.

I think FKLI can be treated as a counter like any stocks counter don't you think?

I like Futures and I don't trade intraday.

Reason 1: Capital small for big potential return. *I have proven it to myself last year*
Reason 2: I plan at the end of day for the next day. Then come next day just call my broker, and put my entry and stop order. That's it. Then I go have breakfast with my one year old daughter  Cheesy *she is very cute by the way  rolleyes *

I find that stocks needs a little bit of monitoring don't you think. So far the tool I used before from NEXTVIEW is pretty good. As you can put your predetermine alert. And when it hits you get an sms and then call your broker.

But one thing though I need to do a cost study and built some capital before plowing into stocks. Stocks need a bigger capital to start. How much do you think would be suffiecent to trade good counters?

Anyway, I'm still experimenting some strategy and back testing it first and foremost before I start doing some cost study.

hi, asiatrader98,

Tell me more about market profile and tape reading. As I know, tape reading is very older method used by Jesse Levermore... it is like floor trader, right?

Hi equilec,

I'm a beginner to futures trading-infact just started by few months. Start with a very small capital. Before this i trade stocks, but I decided to trade futures for a time being as it has leverage and i wanted to accumulate my capital first.

My broker said that as a beginner, one must day trade first and the reason given was that the big stop-loss would have been used if position trade. I'm having trouble to set my strategy in  day trade for i do not know when and where to enter. I read some books said that one must wait and see for the first hour of market, then only enter. Others suggested that the hi/low bounce strategy but i don't have an idea of what it was. Referred back to my broker, he said, one must look at the opening and enter at the opening price. I'm very confuse. I really want to gain some knowledge and skills to trade futures.

I notice that u said that u don't day trade. Could u explain more on that and how do you trade futures now and do u use any charting software?

Intraday charting is important for future trade, on day trade (5 min. chart is very useful) . If one's have only low deposit on his AC when he have make position he have to put a stop loss position, when this is done, the "main player" (I call them banker) know the position of each player , this is why some time the future index will suddenly push up or pull down or before closing the future index pull down for more than 5 point but on the second day, it jump start
more than 7 point. u can see from today sportmth intraday movement how they play. What is diffrent between CI index and future index (intraday)
If u want to learn more on future trade technic u can go for forex free vitual trade like Reaco(US WEBSITE) or other, they have all the charting  tool .index future and forex trade not all the same technic too.

GOOD LUCK
