Investing in stock market is about taking risks, and when you do that, you’re entitled to expect a return that commensurate with the level of risk you take. But if you’re not careful, your own mistakes can prevent you from achieving the return that should be yours. Once you understand the right ways, Stock Market Investing is relatively painless, and the rewards what you get are plentiful.

Interest in the stock market has grown exponentially among people, irrespective of their socio-economic classification. Investing in stocks has grown by leaps and bounds and has become one of the best modes for minting wealth.

All it requires is a bit of balancing to profit from the bull and the bear run. If you are specializing in finance, you might make stock market investment as your full time job. Stock market investment will continue to dominate top mind space of all business professionals.

Before investing there are a few factors to consider, you need to know the basics first. Many people make the mistake of plunging into the market without proper research. Research and past performance analysis of stocks are very important.

You can use financial reports and historical price data for this purpose. If you can recognize risks, you can manage them with relatively simple solutions. Investing is one way that can make your money grow. However, the fact remains that the basics need complete understanding and are not hard and can be learned by anyone with interest.

I second that bizfun.

Oh by the way, when doing research and learning. Please do not buy all these strategies from the internet because these strategies are for mainly the US Market.

I encourage everyone to go for the local seminars. So far there are a few. One from Daryl Guppy, Bill Wermaine and this company call Nextview.

These are local players in the market so their strategies suit our market.

I personally think that if you are new to technical trading, then only go for one seminar. Don't go to all of them unless you want to learn more about optimizing your system. If you are comfortable with the strategy that you have, stick with it. Don't be like me when I was a novice, when to every seminar and then add this system here and there and then boom. I'm back to square one.

Oh and one more thing if you are more interested in fundamental investing a very very good book which I believe that all season investor has in their book shelf is Buffetology Book. Written by Mary Buffet. Great read.

haha low31 don't be like that... he is a guest. still... maybe the question could have been posted in another thread. as for the guest queries, i think the best person to direct the question to is asiatrader98. he is trading for a living. you can ask post to him your questions.

actually i'm also interested to find that out. so far i have only come across one person who is trading for a living. asiatrader makes 2 person i know. but i would also love to find out how this can be done.
