Check out this article in Digg.com - Digg Clone in Malaysia

Digg.com.my is in trouble for blatant plagiarism of the Digg.com website...  police It has gathered a lot of attention and hatred among the Digg community, but what will be more interesting is the legal battle that will follow... will Malaysia government protect our citizens' entrepreneurship or succumb to international intellectual property pressures?

Ok, let me explain if somebody not understand how it work. Normally, famous website will have their secret scripts either in .php, .js, html, etc. If somebody purposely release it, programmer may able to edit the source scripts and then add their logo, change to suit their domain and make it work after some tweaking. It become pirated and labelled with their own brand. It can make money if they know how to do marketing.

However, it can be done if somebody smart enough to rewrite the code. It become new product and is legal, they just steal the idea.

So, it depends on their codes either open source or copyrighted materials. I had visited their site, nice work... afro
