Me try Forex for fun with Marketiva. The best thing its give USD 5 free for start. I'll try my best to double my money using my limited knowledge. BTW its streamer got indicator tool for analysis.

For me, trading FX is virtually the only way a small-time, short-term trader, with peanut capital, has any chance to trade & make $ while having a day-job.

Nope..just try for fun. If my USD 5 burn then I'll stop. Better to improve my stock trading first For me, trading FX is virtually the only way a small-time, short-term trader, with peanut capital, has any chance to trade & make $ while having a day-job.
Then best thing is can trade all the time except Sunday

Hmm, if not mistaken, Oanda, Marketiva and many others are like modern bucket shops? High spread between Bid and Ask. And we re trading against these bucket shops - which irregardless they have already hedge their position and make instant profits from the spread. Is the statement above true?

Not so sure about e-minis. What's the lowest initial margin and the maintenance margin like? I started using oanda with a deposit of around USD370, although i can start with a smaller amount. Not sure what u mean by bucket shops (although i heard the term b4). Yes, they make $ through the spreads, but most of the time, the spreads remain very low. Just make sure u don't jump in the market nearby the news announcements' time. I'd prefer fixed spreads but i kinda like the bet-size flexibility offered by oanda (pipettes instead of pips!) and am already accustomed to their indicators, charts, price movement, etc... Furthermore, based on user ratings, they're among the most honest forex brokers.
